Vincent is adapted by legendary actor and author Leonard Nimoy from the more than 500 letters exchanged between Vincent van Gogh and his closest ally—his art dealer brother, Theo van Gogh. The one-man-show examines the passion, the love, and the tormented beauty of the extraordinary artist’s life and death as seen through his brother’s eyes. The play goes beyond mere biography of the misunderstood artist by celebrating the courage, passion, and lust for life that art kindles in us all. The excitement and color of Van Gogh’s life and art enhance this production through the projection of dozens of images.

What does it take to put on a show?
Direct production costs include purchasing the rights/license to perform the show, set construction, props, and costumes. In addition, there are marketing costs related to printing and distributing posters and programs, along with our wine offerings in the lobby.
Musicals have additional costs: renting the scores and hiring musicians.
Additional costs include annual rent to the Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC), and operational costs such as phone, insurance, web hosting, subscriptions to digital design/marketing platforms, ticket fees, bank fees, etc.
